Read Harlequin Stories . . . for FREE
So Harlequin is like the 300 pound gorilla, as the saying goes.
Right?
Well, yes and no. It’s the most recognizable brand in the romance space. Wow, that sounds business tycoon-y. The world has changed quite a bit since the company was founded in the beautiful city of Winnipeg, Alberta, Canada, in 1949. Today, the indies rule on Amazon. And let’s face it. Amazon is where the world buys books. Harlequin doesn’t quite cast as a big a shadow over the genre.
But, I mean, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Harlequin pretty much created the modern-day form, gave us the clinch, and threw in Fabio for good measure.
Suffice it to say, the ground may have shifted under Harlequin’s feet, but if an editor from that shop called me tomorrow telling me she wanted to sign me to a deal and publish my books, I’d jump for freakin’ joy.

That’s more than 400 stories on the site. You’ll have to sign up, give them your email address and, no, you won’t get the bestsellers. It’s a curated list of shorter reads. But they’ve got all sorts. If you need a fix, it’s pretty darn good.
